Regular dental cleanings and exams are essential to maintaining your oral health and preventing future complications. At your check up appointment we will inspect your oral cavity visually as we always have. For the benefit of our patients, we have added advanced technology for further monitoring. We use the Vizilite Pro Oral Screening Device for enhanced oral cancer screening. This device shines a light on the tissues in the mouth, allowing for easier detection of any abnormal areas. We also offer itero digital scans for our patients. These digital scans allow us to monitor areas of gum recession, tooth wear and other changes in the oral cavity by allowing us to superimpose images taken at different times. We are proud to offer these services as part of our routine exams, and do not charge any additional fee for them as some offices do. We strive to give our patients the best and most thorough examination of their mouth.

Dental Cleanings

The American Dental Association (ADA) recommends that patients visit a dentist at least twice every year. Most insurances will cover two visits as a result of this recommendation.

A dental cleaning will remove bacteria, tartar buildup, and plaque from the surface of your teeth. Bacteria that live in our mouth can affect our systemic health including heart health. As we know, our bodies are not compartmentalized, but rather a connected entity.
